At Kapsalos Villas, we believe in preserving nature and minimizing our environmental impact. That's why we have carefully selected materials that are sustainable and eco-friendly.
For the floors, both indoors and outdoors, we have used traditional cement screed made from sea sand, cement, and water. This material has been used in the area for centuries and can be found in houses that are over 300 years old. While it requires special care and knowledge to apply, we have learned the art and tradition from our father and his ancestors.
In the bathrooms, we have used a special material made from white marble powder and natural lime, which we colored with natural dye.
The walls are covered with our own marble plaster, made from marble powder and lime using the pressed technique.
The external pergolas and tables are made from natural wood and reeds that we collect ourselves from the island. To ensure the reeds can withstand weather conditions for many years, we cut them in the right season and process them carefully.
By using these materials, we not only create a unique and authentic experience for our guests, but we also contribute to the preservation of the natural environment.
